On May 30, 2108, beloved husband and brother, Daniel Thomas Haley was taken from us in a fatal pedestrian versus auto incident.
Dan lived a full and fascinating life. He was born December 14, 1955 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Mary and Tom Haley. The family finally settled in Columbus Ohio where Dan graduated from Northland High School in 1973. He enlisted in the US Army that same year and was honorably discharged in 1977. Dan then entered Ohio State University where he earned a degree in fisheries management and then continued on into medical school. He emerged from that adventure with a degree in Podiatric medicine. He was well-loved by his patients and enjoyed several decades of successful practice. Dan loved life, the Lord, all animals great and small, and his family. Dan was always an avid sportsman and traveled extensively in pursuit of knowledge of other cultures and always – fish!
Dan is survived by his wife, Victoria Clay Haley, sisters Coleen Sadewater, Alicia Washburn, and Linda Lajavic, stepbrother Kevin Reynolds, and stepsister Laura Domingos, nine nieces and nephews, and five great nieces and nephews. Dan was preceded in death by father and mother Thomas and Mary Haley. His friends were many and precious to him. He is, and always will be, remembered with love and joy as “Haley Man” – explorer of the universe.
