Cindy K. Hewitt, 59, passed away at 6:00 am on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Licking Memorial Hospital with family by her side.
Cindy resided with her son Brian and Daughter in law Madalyn in Newark, Ohio. In her free time she loved to crochet and was fond of true crime television. She enjoyed watching professional wrestling, spending time with her grandchildren, going fishing and playing with her dog Otis. Cindy also was known as the scrabble queen. An Ohio native, Cindy was born in the town of Nelsonville on 20 June 1961 to Lowell Auflick and Clara Murray, who proceeds her in death . She is also preceded in death by her daughter Amy Hewitt, older brother Dave Auflick, and former husband George Hewitt. Cindy is survived by her brother Steve Auflick, sister Pam Osterfield, as well as her sons George Hewitt Jr., Brian Hewitt, Mark Hewitt, and Joseph Hewitt; daughter-in-law Madalyn Findlay; and grandchildren George Hewitt III, Oliver Hewitt, Lily Hewitt, and Cameron Findlay. Arrangements are being handled by Buckeye by Schrodinger Funeral Home and a private memorial dinner will be held by close family and friends.
