In Loving Memory of Gerald W. “Jerry” Asher, Sunrise, September 3, 1947 and Sunset, October 8, 2019. Jerry made his transition on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 in Columbus, Ohio after a lengthy illness. Jerry was born in Bellaire, Ohio to the late Constance E. (Asher) Good. He attended Bellaire High School and after school made his way to Detroit, Michigan where he resided until his illness. Jerry worked and retired as an over the road truck driver. A free spirit who saw the positive in every situation. Always greeting you with a smile and many times a joke. Jerry enjoyed music, drawing and etching, writing prose and poetry, travel and especially family. Jerry is preceded in death by his mother, Constance E. (Asher) Good; sisters, Beverly (Asher) Williams and Deborah Asher. He leaves to cherish his memory a daughter, Sarah Brianne Patton of Detroit, Michigan; sister, Claudia J. Ward of Columbus, Ohio; brother, Ronald Asher; two grandsons, Barry Stallworth Jr. and Michael Tatt III of Detroit, Michigan; many nieces, nephews, cousins and host of other relatives and friends near and far.
