Michael Edward Gimeson 74, peacefully passed away Tuesday March 12, 2019 at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor. A native of Denver, CO he attended Regis High School, was a veteran of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He continued his career with a degree in Business Administration and retired from the City of Columbus Department of Recreation and Parks.

 

Michael is preceded in death by his parents father James Owen and mother Edna Ann; brother Pat; sister Joyce and daughter Sara Jean.

 

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marcia and his children Michael, Jim (Melissa), Lisa (David); Paul (Pam), Ami; Anne (Kevin). Michael will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Joseph (Marissa); Michelle (fiancée Brandon); Matthew; Christopher; Jonathan; Thaddeus; Nicholas; Curran; Rachael; Ryan; Anthony; Maria; Adam; Evan; Katelynn; and great-grandchildren Eli and Aubree; and niece Andrea. It was Michael’s honor to be a mentor to his nephew Daniel (Erica). Michael will forever be remembered by extended family and dear friends.

 

Please join us in services on March 26, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 600 Hill Road North, Pickerington, Ohio. Family will greet visitors at 9:30 am, with a Rosary Prayer at 10:00 am and funeral Mass starting 10:30 am with military honors to follow.  Everyone is welcome to join in a Luncheon celebration directly proceeding the services in the Church Hall.
