Ursula (Pfister) Ozamiz, 92, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 21, 2018, in Columbus, Ohio. Ursula was born December 20, 1926, to the late Emil and Gertrude (Bodmer) Pfister of Switzerland, on Curacao, a Dutch Caribbean island, and grew up in various countries including Switzerland, Romania and Argentina.  She moved to the United States after World War II and became a proud American citizen.   She married the late James Richard Ozamiz of New York City and raised three children in various U.S. cities, Puerto Rico and Spain before moving to Columbus, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, and brothers Franz and George. She is survived by Rolf (Frances) Ozamiz of Winston-Salem, NC; Tina (Keith) Albert of Vandalia, OH and Marc (Cindy) Ozamiz of Gainesville, FL; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Ursula retired from Peer Review Systems Inc in 1988. She was a member of the Bethel International United Methodist Church.

A memorial service will be held at Bethel International United Methodist Church in Columbus on February 8, 2019 at 10 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel International United Methodist Church.
