Leonard "Pete" Guevara

Died: December 26, 2017

Leonard “Pete” Guevara, age 58, passed away December 26, 2017 at home after a brief battle with cancer. He was born on July 9, 1959 to the late Marinella (Warden) and Eloy Guevara. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 39 years, Debbie Guevara; his son, Kenneth (Danielle) Guevara, grandsons, Caleb, Cameron and Thomas; sisters, Linda Mead and Virginia (Ty) Blackburn; and loving nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pete worked for more than 22 years at JP Morgan Chase where he was an Executive Director. He enjoyed reading, biking, and watching sports, especially the Columbus Blue Jackets, but his greatest joy was spending time with family and his “hounds” – Monty and Maggie May. His leadership, guidance, compassion, great sense of humor and ability to laugh at himself will be greatly missed.

A private celebration of Pete’s life will be held out of state at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pete’s memory to The James Esophageal Cancer Research Fund # 303-266, 1480 W. Lane Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43221

With deepest sympathies ... I worked with Pete for 10 years at Bank One, later JPMC. He was one of the best folks I've met in my career, always available for advice and very empathetic. He will be missed.
